BEAVER CREEK RESERVE Photo contest rules
• All entries must be postmarked or received by July 8, 2007.
• The contest is open to all amateur photographers, except employees of Beaver Creek Reserve and contest sponsors.
• Photos, including matting & framing can be no larger than 200 sq. in. (approx. 12"x16").
• Photos must be from "upper great lakes region."
• All animal/bird photographs must be of live animals living in the wild.
• Each contestant may enter up to ten photographs.
• Every photo must be accompanied by a separate, completed entry form.
• Winners will be selected by a panel of judges and staff of Beaver Creek Reserve.
• All photos ready to be hung will be on display at the Reserve from mid September to early November.
• Photos for the 2008 Beaver Creek Reserve Calendar will be selected from the photos entered in the contest.
• There is an entry fee of $2.00/photo.
• Images must not have been digitally altered in any way other than standard accepted practices like; dodging, burning, sharpening
and cropping.
*Category Notes:
Man & Nature - images that include man or his handy work as a key element of the picture i.e. depictions of human recre-
ational activities (fishing, camping, hiking, etc.); garden pictures; cultivated fields.
Dynamics of Nature - images that depict unique interactions found in the natural world i.e. sundogs; a predator-prey
relationship; a spider web.
Youth - a special category for photographers, 16 years or younger. Any nature image that would fit into any of the other
categories is eligible
